Incredibly honored that my solo project, Grown AI, is a global Top 15 Finalist for the Luni App Contest! Next up: pitching live to the international panel.
Grown AI is a privacy-first AI financial assistant for moms. It maps to your local stores to deliver daily saving hacks—like generic vs branded "Smart Swaps"—turning tips into active tracking tasks.

Retro Cam v2.6.0 approved in record time!
Submitted yesterday at 11 AM, and it was already approved when I woke up this morning (it might have even finished last night!).
I’ve had updates before that kept me waiting for over 2 days, so this was a huge surprise.
The secret? My theory is that pre-testing the build on TestFlight across multiple devices (iPhone 15 & X) gave Apple’s team the confidence to move faster. I guess a solid testing trail really does speed things up. Don't skip TestFlight!
What’s New:✨12 New "Flare" Filters 🤳 Mirror Front Camera Fix (Selfie UX)

I also built an interactive guide to help users set up these widgets for the Retro Cam app, written entirely in SwiftUI with the help of Gemini. It makes the setup process feel seamless.
Since I've modularized the guide's code, I can easily reuse it for my other iOS apps in the future

I spent this weekend on v2.5.0 for Retro Cam, focusing on one thing: reducing cognitive load.
The real test of a daily app is how quickly it helps a user fulfill their intent. Here’s how we’re achieving zero-friction photography:
1 . 20-Week Photo Grid: Gamifying consistency. Think of it as a "streak" for your creativity.
2. Lock Screen Deep Links: Total accessibility. One tap to launch directly into your favorite filter/Polaroid frame.
3. Zero-Friction UX: Moving frequent workflows to the Home Screen to save 3–4 taps per session.
Updates like these turn an app from a simple tool into a daily habit. Coming soon in v2.5.0!

Taking part in the @RevenueCat Shipyard hackathon, just submitted the GrownAI app - an iOS app that empowers busy mothers to build wealth through personalized AI-driven savings tips, smart shopping swaps, and effortless goal tracking, based on Rebecca Louise's idea "Money confidence for busy mums" https://t.co/OHU4jX1cbb
A 2-week part-time build and ship with a public TestFlight version. Check out demo video on YouTube https://t.co/2fVlQdRKcD
@anumness I usually see a few downloads per day for the first 7-10 days after launching a new app. Not sure if that's called app store boost for new app ?
@jacobrodri_ Yes, the first submission of an app, you'll need to specify the subscription packages in the app description including mentioning it's auto renewable
The App Store review process is a total mystery
Last Tuesday: Submitted HabitPath v2.3.0 https://t.co/P34iwSymc5 went from "Waiting For Review" to "Approved" in the time it took me to drive to the office. ~10++ mins!
Last Saturday: Submitted Retro Cam v2.1.5 https://t.co/mPHHor0edO but it has been "Waiting for Review" for 72+ hours...
Getting Gemini's help to code a photo editor in SwiftUI for my revived Retro cam app (https://t.co/JYRoqEbuEp) , gonna be having more filters and a photo editor in coming version 2.3.0 soon
Upcoming in Habit Tracker - HabitPath v2.3.0 : A brand new icon and color picker! Give every goal its own look and feel. Coming soon to the App Store...

Spent a few hours over the weekend building Level 2 with the help of ChatGPT and @grok, improving several game screens, flows, and settings for haptic and sound
Level 2 feels a bit hard when collecting coins and still needs some tuning. My 14yo daughter suggested making the walls bounce the player back toward the center when hit - pretty solid feedback 👌(she played it on my very old iPhone X running iOS 16.x)

While still preparing the screenshots for reviving the InstaLiveFX - retro cam vintage filter app ..:
on the 1st/Jan I vibe coded (with a mix of using ChatGPT & @grok) for this casual game, Square Jump Adventure in SpriteKit , targeting 12 different levels and gameplays for an mvp and may expand up to 30 levels in the future … 😄

Well at the moment still brainstorming and experimenting on gameplays for different levels focusing on tap to jump , tap left or right for jumping different direction or other gestures such as swipe etc each level may need to have achieving certain goals such as collecting a required percentage of coins and reached the goal distance in order to break to next level 😬 still brainstorming with help of @grok many thanks in fact grok is much better in SpriteKit than ChatGPT with my current experience 😄

Updating an iOS app that’s been removed from the Apple App Store by me (the developer 😄) for more than 10 years which used to be known as instaLiveFX - an instagram like vintage camera live filter app
Progress of these few days - added the burst mode, timer and pinch to zoom today , tested on device , purely vibe coded assisted by ChatGPT
