Hey @Tesla, my parents just bought a Model Y Juniper. It has 72 miles on it and within the last 24 hours they've had serious & scary issues: the steering did the jerky "hunting" (same behavior in the Robotaxi launch on June 22nd in Austin), drove up onto a curb, before my dad took over. Today, he had to intervene for safety when the car tried to cross a busy two lane highway. It really scared them - people have died in accidents at that intersection before. It has really soured them on FSD, which they were HUGE fans of while riding in my MY. The car's steering is messed up now, and my dad made a service appointment but that's not for another 1.5 weeks. The car is not drivable. Meanwhile, his 1 month FSD trial is squandered now while he waits for service. Can this be extended so he can try it after his issues are fixed and v14 is pushed out? Just for the record, I had a scary experience with v12.6 when I first got my Y but because my free trial was 3 months, I did try v13 and now I use it 99% of the time.
@DirtyTesLa Mine points to my husband’s workplace from his last job. He’s cleared it in his profile and doesn’t see it when he drives the 3, nor when he drives my Y. I see it when I get in my Y in the morning. I’ve cleared it several times too.
@gas_biz Road trips with FSD are also way less taxing - we felt less tired after being in the car all day. I also used to say disparaging things about Teslas being fancy electric golf carts. Complete 180 in my opinion.
We did a road trip with the kids in our MY over Christmas. TX to AZ. Charging stops took about the same time with bathroom breaks and getting snacks as when we did the drive in our Odyssey. One thing about charging is you don’t have to “fill up” to 100% - just enough to get you to the next planned stop.
Tesla FSD prevented an accident this morning. My husband was driving my young daughter back from swim. He had the green arrow (with an obstructed view from a large SUV in their left turn lane across ). FSD saw the car running the red light before he did.
Would have been nice to know that @HEB has the shopping cart anti-theft line RIGHT through the Tesla supercharger spaces before I loaded my groceries. Good thing this was a solo errand and my kids weren’t with me.
