The problem has been that you are refusing to apply for Jobs
You want to wait till your portfolio is perfect. You want the perfect CV, etc etc
From Monday, stop the bad behavior and start applying
Someone needs to sit down and measure the impact of the damage that the tech ecosystem is creating on employability and stranded careers of young people. Please if you work in tech & you're young but earning high income. Please and please ensure you deepen expertise very aggressively outside of your workplace. Too many young people are getting fat salaries, big titles and watery experience on investor funds and unsustainable models. These guys are then getting laid off and getting unemployable when investment dries up. Not only because of their outrageous income expectations, but also because of the watery experience that lacks substance and depth - only fluff, big title and vibes.
The company that can dethrone Netflix has to be ready for production
If you cannot make your platform have content daily, then you are not ready.
As it is, YouTube is a threat to Netflix
It’s only on X you will see
“Got my first house at 17”
“Became a CEO at 18”
And the rest. My own is you shouldn’t make it weigh you down o, be happy for them and move on with your hustle. Everyone’s race is different.
Tech would create the wealth Nigeria needs.
But you people should stop looking at tech like it is only Fintech or HTML and CSS
If Nigeria invests in Agriculture without mixing technology in the Agriculture, it will be a Joke. Remember tech in Agro goes from seed improvements, to pest control, to mechanization and access to markets
If Nigeria invests in any sector without allowing tech run the sector, the investment will waste. Where are all the agro investments of Buhari in 8 years? Wasted.
Tech is not HTML and CSS alone. Tech powers medicine, agriculture, transport, logistics, finance, etc. Take tech out of any industry and that industry is back to 1756
