To the people thinking they failed in the first half of the year, open your bank app, request for your statement of account for the past 6 months, and you’d see how far you’ve come, how much made and spent. Stop being hard on yourself, you’re trying, and it will get better soon.
Feeling directionless? Start building.
It doesn’t matter if it’s a business, your fitness, or a new craft. Just pick something that forces you to learn and stay focused.

Unfortunately, the society has seemed to be one that has people constantly looking to oppress others.
Turns out, the moment you refuse to be subjected to that oppression, you become the problem.
I was having a conversation with 4 ladies on Sunday. One said hard work is overrated, she said if it was by hard work, bricklayers will be the richest men in the world. I laughed.
Not because she was funny but because I’ve heard this countlessly. People always try to talk down on hard work and make it seem like you don’t need to work hard to get it right.
Firstly, that “bricklayers should be the richest” line sounds smart on the surface, but it ignores reality. Not all hard work is equally valuable in the market.
Are they hardworking? yes! The next question should be why are many still struggling then? People need to understand “time”. Time has changed. We are in the digitalized era; everybody needs to leverage on the internet or somehow follow some recent regular trends in a creative way. We have high demand skills, high paying skills, if you’re hardworking in skills that fall in that category, you increase your chances of making it.
But you can’t say you’re a hunter somewhere in Oyo state and want to miraculously become a billionaire, it becomes impossible. While there are some jobs which you could still package a little and push on the internet to make a good living, and that takes us back to understanding time and leveraging on the internet.
Effort alone doesn’t determine income. What determines your result/income is; demand, scalability, and leverage.
I ended the conversation with them saying smart work is good, but wrongly defined by people. A lot of people see smart work as shortcuts, luck, or just connections, but NO.
Smart work is working hard in a strategic way.
They were all amazed when I gave that definition.
It’s your strategy that makes you stand out in this competitive world, but without hard work, your chances of making it out reduces. You need to consistently work hard, but be strategic about it.

After this bull run,
Approximately 3-6 months from now,
When you’re finally rich,
Please, before you buy the Lambo or the watches,
Think about the people who believed in you.
Take care of your parents.
Help the ones who stood by you when you had nothing.
Secure your future first.
Then enjoy the luxuries.
That’s how you truly win.
