charles' views on madring: “it looks like a very challenging track and exactly the kind of circuit i enjoy as a driver. i expect overtaking opportunities to be quite limited on sunday, so qualifying is likely to be particularly important. our priority will be to maximise practice so that we arrive in q3 with the right car and can put together a strong lap. i’m really looking forward to it.”

"we weren't expecting miracles with the power unit at monza. everyone always expects a huge leap when you put a new engine at monza, but we were coming from zandvoort, which isn't a particularly power-sensitive track. at monza, the power unit's effect was enormous: we made a step forward, which was what we expected, but we're still behind. the gap visible on the engine between zandvoort and monza is due to the track layout, not to the fact that the engine is performing worse. we've made progress, but we still have more steps to make 100%. we're aware of this, we're pushing hard, and we're working in that direction."

@chiliconsharls I get it there are sadly toxic people in every fandom. Hamilton fans right now really remind me why I steered clear from F1twt for years and now they are going at it with their mob mentality. I'm a really small account so I don't even understand...

@Stylesmdz It would be very unfortunate, spending Ferrari again would just be another huge set back. I really hope we get to fight for the WC (either) soon, especially with Charles. But yeah, the next TP that works with better be cutthroat and competent.

I think media literacy is dead and f1twt shot it. First of all, Charles already admitted while still in Monza that he went to far. He never denied HIS responsibility but guess why they were in that situation in the first place? Because Hamilton got brave.

@Stylesmdz As long as Fred doesn't break, I'm convinced Hamilton can throw as many tantrums as he wants. I also imagine if Ferrari does manage to do a good job next season with the new engine and continously development from a good chassis, I think Fred might gain the upper hand permanently

@LeAlmighty_Face He before said we went to far during the whole incident now his focus is on turn 2, in turn 1 Hamilton went to far. It is what it is. I don't think we'll agree on this or on the purpose of the call out which was obviously focused on Fred. The whole kumbaya now is damage control.

Okay, Madring has a long straight but it's also 5.5 km long. An engine deficit will not be as drastic here as on certain other circuits. So while not great, the weekend can still turn out in a good way.

@nadiacl16 @marrlec It's not great but I believe there's hope to compensate on the rest. He can still have a good weekend even if maybe not a brilliant one. And it's really an unknown track.

@checkthetea I understand the frustration with Ferrari as I've been here for awhile but public pressure has never worked on corporations. Calling your coworker out publicly also does not breed good will which is another reason why this lead to nothing. Emphasis on coworker.

Thing is none of this would have happened if Hamilton just decided to not make a scene. They only have to put this to bed publicly now because he brought it to the public in the first place. This would have happened anyways of course even if he won but he didn't and I told you so
