I run a little YouTube channel (⭐️130,000+ Subs⭐️) talking about cases, accessories and latest tech! I like to keep it real which might also make you upset.
Looks like Apple shipped half-baked software with the iPhone Duo. Most third-party apps and games still don't offer a proper full-screen experience.
Apple has provided developers with the SDKs and tools to optimize their apps, which is great. But this should have been handled more intelligently at the OS level, just like Android and Samsung do. They don't require every developer or game studio to update their apps just to fit a different screen. The system can automatically scale existing apps to use the available display area. Developers can optimize their UI later, but Apple should have ensured a better out-of-the-box experience from day one.
Non optimized apps are nothing when it comes to the Duo. Didn’t bother me for the Fold 8 and eventually they slowly start getting updated and I’m sure the same will happen with the Duo and probably even quicker.
THe Z FoLd 8 sEEmS mOrE pOLiShEd…..
Samsungs first foldable - 2019
iPhones first foldable - 2026
I think some of you are trying to hype yourself up with the Z Fold 8 because you aren’t getting your duo until the Christmas lights are up.
Am I crazy but why am I seeing larger creators talking about the app optimization like it’s their first rodeo with foldables?!
Man I can’t wait to get this device to start these videos because mannnnnnnnn.
@Babzace I don’t get it. I’m skipping right past the app optimization, you guys got “early” review samples, of course apps are still being updated and optimized.
I don’t get it.
@Vyyyper And people talking about going there a few hours earlier, yeah right. I knew Wednesday the lines were going to start. I’m going to ride by my local store and see if there are people out there.
@CFC_kante7 I rotate cases so much man tons are in my rotation. I just make the video on the ones that I use more than others. Just had the blue sheath on the other day and today I have the Dbrand Tank on.
As pricey as the iPhone Duo is, there is no way I’m seeing case videos with dummy units. Is it about actually testing what’s good about the case or being first for views? Those videos are nothing but to show how the case looks on the device.
How can you check MagSafe Strength?
How can you test how tactile the buttons are?
The weight of the case/device combo?
How are you testing adhesive placement and stability?
How do you test how snug a fit is on the actual device and not a dummy unit?
Just how?
As a creator and someone who loves a good experience, I’ve never used ProRes or Log on my camera.
I just want to take my phone out my pocket, take a picture of my family/kid and put my phone back in my pocket.
@PaulRankinYT Also I didn’t even see your video so it’s a little wild to i guess assume that I did? I saw someone doing drop test with dummy units for a case look…….
I’m not too far off with my logic.
