@jmwilt21 Depends which way your body is turned. If the sun is behind you, the display washes out immediately. I was walking around earlier today using GPS and I had to switch to the cover display
@MichaelWaitze Nah idc about his useless tests lol. Nobody shoves a handful of sand into the hinge and nobody takes a lighter to the display. Useless test. Cool entertainment tho.
iPhone Duo: My thoughts so far. The good, and bad.
✅ Very well made. Tough. IP68 is nice to have.
✅ Battery life is incredible. Didn’t expect this.
✅ Hinge is super smooth. Opening and closing the phone feels steady and secure.
✅ performance and efficiency are great
✅ charging speeds are nice. Didn’t measure but feels fast to the point where I don’t notice.
✅ speakers and the placement are fantastic.
✅ Comfy to hold
✅ I love the software for the hinge (see photos)
🚫 Display looks great in terms of cutting out reflections, but colors and contrast suffers a lot.
🚫 Not all apps are optimized (yet). Those that are still look a bit wonky. Not Apples fault. Devs need to tweak it more.
🚫Cameras are okay. Nothing special but they get the job done. Don’t expect great results after 3x zoom.
🚫Heaviest passport style foldable in 2026. 254g without a case and without a screen protector. Over 300g with. Some care. Some don’t.
🚫 Small learning curve. Not a fan of the volume keys being on top and the dock being on the right.
🚫 No action button. Some may not like this.
Overall, not a bad phone. I like it a lot, despite its downsides. But at $2000 there should be less of them imo.
