@itsmatthewj@McJovey @jo_the_hat @OwsWills@G_Gibson20@GarethDennis Slightly redundant thread as clearly IT is way under performing on accessibility, so fitting the team if true is appalling. But you're mistaken, these examples work in any app by virtue of using ios widgets and text. (I run an accessible website.)
@BlaszczykMm @johnFstemmedy @ot2207 Immigrants pay more into the system than locals. Your view makes intuitive sense but is actually wrong in reality. Only argument that holds water is wanting to isolate your culture from outside influence (or of course populist votes).
@Joelybarder@jamieklingler@MarcusRashford You are saying that if you were allowed, you'd refuse to give a poor child who'd otherwise go hungry a lunch. Which would cost you about 4 minutes' salary. You need to revisit the Bible.
@rcoreyb @AFPAfrica I think all civil servants have had one month's salary deducted, spread over a year. The deductions were announced months ago but started this month.
@SOEFactCheck Have guidelines been communicated? In the 3rd paragraph it says yes, but in the last paragraph it says not yet. If flights are permitted subject to guidelines that have not been communicated, then flights aren't permitted.
@ameyuetana@TomGardner18 "Aid has not been to enter Tigray since Mekelle fell" - this was published by Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs 2nd July. Did it fly?
@umasalam@mkheirom I believe in a positive take: that they're so desperate to give the democratic opening and GERD filling a chance they'll have faith in Abiy's absurd pronouncements over seeking the truth. Many are angry at Abiy for being so magnanimous as to give Tigray a chance!
@berhe_lucy@newhumanitarian When I heard what happened to you in Addis I asked around to offer you a safe place to stay, but learned of course you'd already been offered one by another of your many admirers and supporters. Many, many people are very grateful for your work.
@AdamAbebe Research suggests that the average cost of one civil war is US$64bn, and that increased aid to post-conflict societies is therefore one of the most efficient ways to direct aid. This and peacekeeping missions are five times more efficient than non-conflict aid.
