Customer reaction to the launch this week:
"Where did our migration project go?"
The data carried over. The new surfaces work against it. No flip-the-switch event.
Destabilizing in a good way.
It's live. The new SkillsDB.
18 months. Rebuilt from scratch. 18 years in the making. Skills as the data primitive, not a column on the employee record.
API-first. Cross-section search. No migration for existing customer. [MCP coming soon.]

If you've been told by an HRIS or LMS vendor they have a "skills" field or module...we agree. That's ridiculous. The new SkillsDB is what a skills intelligence platform actually looks like.
Blog + walkthrough in reply.

Really proud of the team at @accessfund in working with @SenatorHick to get a unanimous vote approving an amendment protecting climbing on public lands!
🎉 We've got great news! 🎉
Thanks to @SenatorHick's leadership, an important U.S. Senate committee amended the America's Outdoor Recreation Act (AORA) to safeguard rock climbing on public lands, including Wilderness, around the country.
Need some help…our enterprise customers use MS Teams, Slack, email, sometimes SMS for support…is there a product that allows our CS team to use one app/screen to consolidate all of the various channels in one place? Front doesn’t work with Teams. Intercom? Freshworks? Others?
Proud of @accessfund today! We helped craft and get introduced a standalone bipartisan bill in Congress for the federal protection of climbing in Wilderness. This will go a long way to sustainably protect climbing & outdoor recreation on federal land. https://t.co/641mX7rHDt
This post quite literally changed my life, and is one of the best pieces written on the internet. Thought I'd share it since I'm constantly telling people about it anyway. You're welcome. https://t.co/S6rST4fqry
https://t.co/LE5PzRcsOh is the worst product with the worst customer service of any product on the internet. Signed up for a free trial for a match that didn't work. Thought the trial was a month, but got charged after a week. Called for a refund and they refused. Insane. @fuboTV
@wbruce Grab a large D or pear shaped locking climbing carabiner and put that through the metal of the straps. Then put the hook closure through the carabiner and all will be safe. When upside down, the gate of the hook could damage the rope.
Eleven, the company I cofounded 20 years ago, has sold. We recently passed 10K properties w/ 1.5M doors in 50+ countries, 7B auths/yr, 40 FTEs, significant revenue milestones, many years of positive cashflow & a >13x investor return. Proud of our team!

Proud what we built at @NedSpacePDX over the past 12 years, with hundreds of founders/companies, lots of fundraising rounds & ~12 exits from members. Even helped update City of PDX econ-dev strategy. We sold the biz to Jorge from @vive_nw. Baton passed! https://t.co/aCMuMJfupv
To all the climbers out there, please register to attend the Access Fund annual summit, Oct 7. It is the first time as virtual, which makes is way easier to attend. Please show your support and join! https://t.co/JJXSxLKTaV #climb#accessfund
💥 BREAKING 💥 Amid pressure from the climbing community, the BLM announced today that it has canceled plans to auction over 85,000 acres of recreation-rich land around Moab for oil and gas leasing. https://t.co/oMvZhtiP3W
