کس درجہ افسوس کی بات ہے کہ ہمارے گھٹیا مزاج اور گھٹیا فکری روئیے اس قدر پنپ چکے ہیں کہ ہمیں احساس بھی نہیں ہے کہ انہیں اس بچے پر تنقید نہیں کرنی چاہیے۔ جن پر تنقید کرنی چاہئے وہاں درست اپروچ سے تنقید کریں، جس ملک میں تین سے چار دہائیوں سے نوجوانوں کو صرف فساد پر مائل کیا جارہا تھا، وہاں ایتھلیٹکس اور اس طرح کے جسمانی کھیلوں کے لئے اس ملک کی جانب سے نہ وسائل مہیا کیے جاتے ہیں، نہ ہی کھیلوں کی ترویج کی جاتی ہے، نہ ہی ہماری ترجیحات میں ایسی چیزیں شامل ہیں، جہاں جسمانی کھیلوں کا کوئی مستقبل نہ رہ گیا ہو، وہاں اس بچے کے لیے ایک شاباش بنتی تھی کہ کم ازکم یہ آج کی دنیا کے بڑے ممالک کے مقابل انٹرنیشنل مقابلوں تک پہنچا تو ہے۔ جن ممالک میں ان کھلاڑیوں پر وہاں کے ممالک بہترین وسائل، کوچ اور سہولتیں فراہم کرتے ہیں، آپ کے ملک میں کہاں پروفیشنل سوئمنگ ادارے ہیں، ہمارے اسکول و کالج لیول پر کہاں ان کھیلوں کی ترویج یا دستیابی ہے، ان کے مقابل چاہے یہ بچہ آج ہار گیا ہے تو کوئی بات نہیں، اگلی بار جیتے گا کبھی نہ کبھی تو یہ جیتیں گے۔ اگر آپ نے ان کی حوصلہ شکنی نہ کی تو کبھی نہ کبھی تو یہ آپ کا سر دنیا میں اونچا کر ہی دیں گے۔ اگر اس ملک کے کرتا دھرتاؤں پر تنقید کرنی ہے تو ان پر کریں، اس بچے کی تصویر پر اور اس کی کاوش پر مذاق مت بنائیں۔
یہ ہماری امید ہیں اس امید کا تمسخر مت بنائیں۔ اتنے بے حس نہ بنیں کہ اپنی نوجوان نسل پر اتنی گھٹیا تنقید کریں، یہ ابھی بچے ہیں، انہوں نے کل پاکستان بنانا ہے، ان کی امید کے خوابوں کو کچوکے مت لگائیں۔ اپنے مستقل پر ایسی تنقید مت کریں۔
