HUGE congratulations to Jenna Hipp as she not only gets the start on the mound today in her first college softball game, but she also gets the win as Harding University beats North Georgia, the #3 team in the country today. We are super proud of you JSwag!!
My go-to response for why we solve in multiple ways used to be "b/c math is creative and it's important to know math isn't just about procedures" but now I'm also adding "b/c we need to honor students' thinking. Just b/c they thought of it differently doesn't mean they're wrong."
Shoutout to the ball players, homecoming court members, and cheerleaders that participated in the first day of spirit week with the elementary students at lunch and parent pick-up! Tomorrow is country day; wear western or camo! #BuildingSchoolSpirit
Donβt let the behavior define the child. Itβs merely just a chapter in their lives. Read their entire book to find the βwhy.β This will help immensely with the βwhat.β #JoyfulLeaders#EduZero
Saturday was the town Christmas Parade! It was so nice to see school groups involved and so many students on different organizational floats! I want to say a special shout out to elementary for representing their One Book, One School Initiative. Awesome to see!
Our PD discussing Trauma Sensitive Schools is still on my mind, especially since our last #EBedchat! As Ts, we have to be mindful of a studentsβ well-being & recognize that trauma does impact student learning. Do you hear the cry for help? #teachbetter#iteachmath#tlap
@alicekeeler Ahh...I guess I was thinking if the goal was to time travel forward and the glitch caused you to travel backwards that made it negative. But I see where counting glitches goes positive. Could the story be expounded upon to convey the negative connotation of the term glitch?
