tonight i closed the laptop knowing the product is better than this morning but there's nothing to show for it. no feature to demo, no number that moved. just quiet progress that doesn't get announced. most of building is actually this.
@SahilBloom this is something i keep relearning as a builder, its so easy to only focus on whats missing from the product and miss that things are actually going ok
@JamesJames518 the "spot the messy workflow" angle is the whole game right now, most people are still waiting for a perfect product idea when the opportunity is already sitting in plain sight
@MikeHoffmann built and launched my first app in like 3 weekends last year and it genuinely still surprises me how low the barrier is now compared to even 5 years ago
@thesayannayak claude code is genuinely the one i keep going back to, been using it for my side projects and the skill system is pretty addictive once you get into it
@emaann28 honestly the thing that surprised me most was that "almost done" just keeps moving forward, there's always one more thing you didnt think of before
@shipordie_@imvincz@jackfriks harsh but fair, whitespace and clarity on the landing page is like 50% of first impressions and most builders underestimate it
@adxtyahq@iamAdityaAnjana the contradiction resolution for stale memories is the piece most people skip but its probably the hardest problem to get right in practice
@gregisenberg the funniest part is that the token thief is probably also the one keeping the team competitive while everyone else is still copy pasting into chatgpt manually
@Jilles the barrier to ship something has never been lower and honestly thats both exciting and a little terrifying for those of us who remember fighting with servers for hours
