Election is fast approaching, and it seems many Nigerians have not learnt enough lessons. Besides the fact that we each have rights to campaign and vote for our preferred candidates, there are burdens and deep challenges we share as a peopl, irrespective of which part of the nation we come from. It will be a wise decision to join hands and eradicate these problems being caused by our ruling class.
There is no reason on earth why our country should not have had 24/7 electricity, quality roads and affordable transportation, high level of securit, and quick response to security intervention. We should feel safe with our officers. Basic food, medications, education, and housing should be affordable.
The irony is that those we elect into office enjoy these things to an overflow with the same resources that were mapped out to give them to us. Then, during the campaign, they give out peanuts to get re-elected by the same people starved from their own resources. I honestly don't blame these thieves for pretending not to know how much terrible they are, but I blame the people who keep bringing them back. It's as if they are trapped in an infinity loop of stupidity.

One of the greatest motivations for rigging is the complacency of voters.
The truth is that voting doesn't end with thumbprinting a ballot paper. There must be a follow-up to ensure the votes count.
Where leaders want to rig by all means, voters should defend their votes by all means, too.
