I'm trying to imagine a scenario where 6 people from local charities, egged on by a domestic violence shelter, called the police because they had gone out of their way to look up my tweets, which objected to incitement to violence against women and girls. Oh and made up a story about stickers.

And the Police gave them a crime number, came to my house, arrested me, searched my house for stickers, took me into custody for 6 hours and questioned me for 3, took my phone off me for 10.5 weeks, tested my DNA, barred me from a large area of my city centre, banned me from mentioning them on any social media, whatever that means (including the ones I had never mentioned or heard of).

I don't have to imagine. That all happened to me.

@ShelaghFogarty Unfortunately Shelagh it seems to be sign of modern times I walk down to meet my girlfriend when she finishes early evening shift as she doesn't feel safe been barged past etc and we live in sleepy Suffolk!

The fragility of life is so shocking. I’ve known Michael Mosley for many years - as a tv producer specialising in science and medicine. He was the executive producer of my 2009 series Human Journey. When he started presenting as well as producing, we made several science programmes together. And we met up at Hay Festival just 2 weeks ago. I can’t believe he’s gone.
My thoughts are with his bereaved family.

@hwallop @BBCRadio4 My local store has had refit which is on the whole been done well on separate issue the staff are under to much pressure since it was done I saw one of them burst into tears few weeks ago I work in retail and companies need to do more to support staff

@anitathetweeter Only thing I can think of is pricing similar to way airlines sell the seats. cheaper at beginning more expensive as flight fills up and obviously not every seat is filled or not all passengers turn up.

@MartinSLewis I think the whole issue needs to start with teaching children how to manage money understanding debt. Apr figures etc as for the economy today we are going into a deep recession no doubt about it
