🇬🇧 Scottish Green MSP Q Manivannan owns a house worth around £250,000 in India, despite previously crowdfunding thousands of pounds to cover UK visa costs.

Manivannan launched a fundraising appeal, saying he could not afford the visa and describing financial hardship.

Property records later showed ownership of a £250,000 home in Tamil Nadu, while parliamentary records list the property as generating rental income.

🇮🇪🇺🇸 An asylum seeker is on the run in Ireland after allegedly beating a young mother to death in her home.

Jamey Carney, a 43-year-old American citizen, was in a relationship with the man and regularly posted social media content of them travelling together.

She became politically engaged in pro-Palestine and other left-wing causes on moving to Ireland from New York in 2024, posting slogans like "fck ICE."

She was found dead by her 13 year old daughter. The suspect has been on the run since Tuesday.
