I want to express how much I enjoy viewing the remarkable work of the many Teddy Bear artists I see on Twitter each day. It brightens my day. Cheers to you all.
WISHING EVERYONE A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR. I've enjoyed scanning through the tweets and seeing the wonderful craftsmanship of Teddy Bear artists worldwide. Cheers to you all.
Decorations up. Yesss!
But here’s a thought:
Christmas is coming round so quickly these days, I wonder if there’s a case for having it every 18 months instead of every year? That way we’d have a sunny Christmas every couple of years which would be a bonus.
Look for my full page Christmas advertisement on page 7 of the current "Teddy Bear Times and Friends" magazine, issue 255. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas.
GOOD NEWS: I have an article titled, "The mystery in the history of the Teddy Bear." It will appear in the next issue of "Teddy Bear Times & Friends" magazine which will appear in your mail box the end of May. It's a story about the Teddy Bear that will surprise you.
I spent the Labor day weekend at our cabin in Wisconsin. All I can say is brrrrrrr! We had to keep a fire going in the living room fireplace each evening to stay warm. The temperature dropped so much I couldn't finish the cabinet I was restoring that's on our porch.
The photos of mountains still on my web site are there for nostalgic reasons. I miss the mountains where I used to live, but Minnesota's landscape is a different beauty. One advantage living here, we are closer to our family's cabin on a lake in Wisconsin-an easy drive from here.
Just returned from a long weekend at our cabin on a lake in northern Wisconsin that's been in our family since I was 12. It was a peaceful retreat and a change from my home, since the virus has forced us to stay put. I restored some folk art I had painted on a cabinet as a teen.
Interested in purchasing "The Untold Story of the Teddy Bear?" Best to do this from my web site: https://t.co/AbwDvggE3U. where they're available in soft cover or e-book reasonably priced,. Amazon's site appears to be promoting used copies of my book at inflated prices instead.
Love baseball? Did you know it was the Cubs baseball fans that brought fame to the Teddy Bear when so many were purchased as mascots that the toy bears appeared on the front page of the Chicago Daily News. October 11, 1906. (See pages 106-107)
