@Sam_Vecenie The funniest part about it is that Sam never says anything original, so there’s no reason to get upset. He basically just parrots smarter dudes like Cole Zwicker.
@RUPPS_rhetoric@MattNorlander I don’t see how he’s behind Hurley or Wright, and Calhoun didn’t even coach for 11 of the last 25 yrs. And Roy won big late in his career in large part b/c cal and K kept out-recruiting him.
@MattNorlander Thx for the reply. Athletic ranked top 25 coaches of last 25 years. I think Cal ranked 12. From 2006-2020, he had most final 4s, elite 8s, title games, tournament victories. So, for 15 years, he was the best in the sport. Isn't he ranked far too low by Athletic? Thanks.
@JonRothstein@CBSSports@CBSSportsCBB In other words, how many coaches were the undeniable best over such a long stretch of time? — not to mention at two different schools, one of which was freaking Memphis?
@JonRothstein@CBSSports@CBSSportsCBB When I see all-time coaches rankings, it seems ppl view Self and Wright over Calipari. Over a 15 year period, 2006-2020, Cal was undeniably the most successful and influential coach, including. most: tournament games won, final 4s, elite 8s. Is he undervalued by the media?
@3MW_CBB In other words, in a 15 year stretch, cal was the most successful coach in the game. Moreover, during this timeframe, he was the influential & impactful coach— essentially acting as the face of the sport.
@3MW_CBB I feel like 3MW is quick to diminish Calipari. However, for fifteen years, from 2006-2020, Cal won the most tournament games, made the most final 4s, and had the most finishes inside the kenpom top ten. Should the 3MW acknowledge his greatness and place in the game?
