@soudipop@HarebrainedInc This is stupid. If there was a whole complex built up, there would be for all the events I listed. They could do something like the xfinity center in Philly. You’re completely short sighted on this and I’m not going to convince you obviously but thanks for the convo.
Well in Arlington there could’ve been hotels, bars, restaurants, all contributing to the local economy. Not to mention construction jobs. What about concerts, big 10 championships, final fours, soccer games? The Bears were willing to pay the highest tax rate on a stadium of any team in the nfl. No one will build on that land at the current tax rate.
@soudipop@HarebrainedInc All businesses do because they create jobs. Thats not going to change.
Imagine not having a clue how the world works and going on twitter to defend corrupt, useless politicians 🤣
@Beau4Congress@ChicagoBears Nobody will build on that land in Arlington until the tax rate is changed. They’re willing to pay the highest tax rate of any NFL team and your shitty politicians still couldn’t get a deal done.
@SonRanto Talk about smooth brain. Whoever builds on that land is getting infrastructure improvements paid for by Illinois tax payers. There’s no getting around that. And the Bears were willing to pay taxes. They just didn’t want to pay $100 million a year. Go write a song about it.
