@cursor_ai@xai@grok I canceled my @cursor_ai account and moved on. I’m sharing the experience so others know what to expect. If a company is going to automate support, there still needs to be a real escalation path when context matters. Customers deserve that much.
I was a longtime @cursor_ai Pro+ customer. I mistakenly upgraded to $200 Ultra while trying to understand @xai/@grok access. I asked for a one-time billing exception and human review. Less than 60 seconds later, an AI support bot rejected it. I canceled. 🧵
@cursor_ai@xai@grok I use AI constantly and believe in what it can do. But AI support without a meaningful path to human judgment is a terrible customer experience. Automation should help companies serve customers better — not become a wall customers can’t get past.
@cursor_ai@xai@grok That’s what bothered me most. This stopped being about $200. I was asking for a human to look at the context and decide whether a one-time exception made sense for an existing customer. Instead, I got another automated answer almost instantly.
@cursor_ai@xai@grok At 9:43 AM — less than 60 seconds later — Cursor’s AI Support Assistant replied with the same policy: because there had been usage, the charge wasn’t eligible for a refund. No indication my request had been escalated for human review.
@cursor_ai@xai@grok At 9:42 AM I specifically asked: “Could you please pass this along to someone on the billing team who can take a look at it? I’ve been a long-time customer and would really appreciate some flexibility here.”
Once support explained the difference, I owned the mistake. I wasn’t asking for something I intentionally bought and wanted to keep. I asked to return to Pro+ and requested a one-time billing exception because the plans had genuinely confused me.
@cursor_ai@xai@grok I was on Cursor Pro+ at $60/mo. While trying to get more Grok Bot usage, I misunderstood how Cursor Ultra and @xai’s SuperGrok Heavy worked together and accidentally upgraded to the $200 Ultra plan.
@cursor_ai@xai@grok I finally understand why people chop stories into threads on X. Free accounts are capped at 280 characters per post, so here’s what happened to me with @cursor_ai this morning — and why I canceled after being a paying customer.
@kirawontmiss I swear this was the same group of girls who almost snagged my husbands passport and wallet a month ago! We were lucky that a local started yelling at my husband (in a wake the hell up kind of way) and we caught on to what they were doing. We were one of the lucky ones. 😌
