In most every other instance once Congress was doing their job, Trump kept riffing on Twitter using arguments that either undercut or misstated what Congress was debating.

People don’t see that birthright citizenship is a guarantee for all Americans. Say your mother doesn’t speak English and the government challenges her status as an American bc she doesn’t “love” America enough or other BS, you are an American by birth, not some arbitrary rule.

An arbitrary cutoff for a cast ballot would apply in the same manner to same day voting.
