NEW YORK: We’re back outside the Garden.
We have approved a ticketed MSG watch party for Game 4. More details soon.
As we prepare to watch together, let me be clear: this is a historic, joyful moment for our city. We will not allow it to be disrupted by violence.
Be safe, take care, and celebrate responsibly.

When we came into office, we uncovered a $12 billion budget deficit.
Today, I’m proud to say we brought it down to zero.
We didn’t close the gap on the backs of working people.
We closed it while funding parks, libraries, safer streets and making historic investments in public housing.
Call it Pothole Politics. Call it Democratic Socialism. It's government that delivers for the people who make this city run.
That’s what New Yorkers deserve. And that’s what we will keep fighting for every single day.

Monday's Weather Rating: 9/10
WE ARE SO BACK!!! High temperatures reach the upper 60s later today with mostly sunny skies, amazingly comfortable dew points and a light breeze. It is time to be extremely outside. The vibes have skyrocketed!!!
I was teaching my NYC history course and we covered Mayor Bloomberg last week. My students (all born in this century) asked me, “He was the one that made you go to school during the crazy snowstorms, right?” Even they knew how bad it was before 😂😭
I don't think people realize a blizzard is called a blizzard because of the WIND that accompanies the snow. It's basically a snow hurricane (oversimplification) and that's why it's dangerous. Much different from a snowstorm!
Good morning, New York.
As the snow continues to fall, unofficial local weather reports have noted the following totals across the city:
❄️Bronx: 9-12"
❄️Manhattan: 9-11"
❄️Queens: 9-10"
❄️Brooklyn: 9-11"
❄️Staten Island: 10-14"
The Coastal Flood warning remains in effect for the north shore of Queens and the Bronx until 5am.
The travel ban also remains in effect until 12 pm today, 2/23. All non-essential vehicles are prohibited from operating on NYC Streets, Highways, and Bridges until lifted.
Warming centers are available across the city for New Yorkers vulnerable to the cold. If you see someone on the street that needs assistance, call @nyc311.
Stay warm and stay safe.
Here’s the latest on the snow:
We’re expecting 6–8 inches on Sunday and another 1–3 inches Monday.
Starting Saturday, we begin pre-snow operations — mounting plows, loading salt spreaders, and preparing our crews. New York City Department of Sanitation will move to 12-hour shifts Sunday, with more than 5,000 workers rotating day and night to keep our streets clear.
Code Blue will be in effect. Our outreach teams will canvass 24/7 across all five boroughs to connect vulnerable New Yorkers to shelter and warm spaces. No one will be denied shelter. If you see someone who needs support, call 311.
