On August 21, Draganfly played a critical role in supporting Squamish Search and Rescue's efforts to locate Maverick, a dog who had fallen into swift waters in British Columbia's rugged terrain. Using a UAV equipped with a thermal sensor, Maverick was found alive and safe, tucked in a small cave deep in the Cheakamus Canyon.

This challenging rescue involved navigating swift water and steep terrain, but with our team providing crucial real-time intelligence, the SSAR team was able to lower a swift water technician to Maverick and bring him back to safety.
