@HHSGov@POTUS@SecKennedy please restore HRSAโs Advisory Committee on Heritable Disorders in Newborns and Children. This committee reviews issues and challenges for state newborn screening programs. These experts and families work together to advise you on #newbornscreenings
@theAuntieAngie@SecKennedy Had Louisiana implemented the recommendation of the Advisory Committee on Heritable Disorders in Newborns and Children in 2018, my daughter would have received diagnosis in her first month. This committee is very important to our families. Please reconsider its termination.
I urge you to reconsider the decision to dissolve the ACHDNC. Our states still need guidance. Our providers still need reliable information. Our babies still deserve the very best start we can give them!
@SecKennedy@HHSGov
I was incredibly heartbroken to learn that the Advisory Committee on Heritable Disorders in Newborns and Children (ACHDNC) was abruptly terminated. Iโm asking you โ sincerely and urgently โ to reconsider this decision.
I am trying to understand the reformation of federal agencies and can agree with some. But thisโฆ this area is federal support. In a space as critical as newborn screening, that support matters deeply.
