South Africa is under siege from crime.

An average of 71 murders every day.

Cash-in-transit robberies in broad daylight.

Hijackings,
Robberies and House invasions.

Kidnappings for ransom.

Extortion gangs terrorising businesses.

Illegal guns in the hands of ruthless criminals.

Illicit trade costing the country billions of rands.

Scams.

How much more must people endure before we stand up?

This fight cannot be left to the police alone. Government, business, the media, communities and every citizen must play a role.

We need activism at every turn.

We need communities to speak out.

We need leaders to act — not talk.

For too long criminals have been allowed to operate without fear.

For too long law-abiding citizens have lived in fear in their own country.

Enough is enough.

South Africa must rise against crime — together, loudly, and without fear.
