@MrBoothY6 Yes that’s the same for me actually too, just never thought of it before. Also makes learning children’s names in the rest of school hard, everyone else got to know them inside out lower down school. Reception teacher knows everyone!

@adamboxer1 Another vote for improving SEND provision/capacity and early help/social care. Failing kids in those areas is what keeps me awake at night worrying.

@WhistleblowingT I would say it depends how long she has been out of teaching. If it’s more than 5 years I’d do the HT from both TA schools. The references are a smaller part of the recruitment process and wouldn’t be sought unless an interview offered, so wouldn’t affect shortlisting.

@HeyMissSmith It’s awful. In my LA I think it’s the gaslighting that gets me the most. ‘No, we decide if a child needs specialist on need alone’ like I haven’t been supporting children thru transfer to specialist for 25 years and KNOW they have changed what the required ‘level of need is’ 😡

@HeyMissSmith I was saying to my friend, I don’t even know what they are trying to test anymore. So wordy and convoluted. When you compare to a foundation GCSE paper there’s really not much progression in difficulty.
