Our standards for public office are extremely low. How do you sit in a meeting and resolve that in this situation let us re appoint a tainted individual as a minister ?
I have no interest in arguing with people who have already made up their minds and will dismiss any dissenting view. We’re all adults, and we know that things are rarely as simple as they appear.
Questioning prevailing narratives doesn’t make someone an idiot or complicit. Independent thought and personal discernment still matter. Every now and then, step outside the collective and think for yourself.

62 people were brutally killed in the 2008 xenophobic attacks - 21 SAns, 11 Mozambicans, 5 Zimbabweans, 3 Somalis, 22 other foreign nationals. The single largest group of people killed in 2008 were SAn, mostly VhaTsonga. Xenophobia & ethnic mobilization = 2 sides of the same coin

African leaders are avoiding the core issue on illegal immigration in SA because confronting it means confronting their own governance failures and complicity.
You’re poor Because of the inequality gap, not because of vulnerable Africans who are maids and gardeners.
You guys are punching down to feel powerful.
It’s sad
