Andy Weir on the ending of 'Project Hail Mary'
"I think it’s a perfect ending for Ryland because he really liked being a teacher, and in the end he gets to be a teacher and hang out with his best friend. And he’d be returning to an Earth where something like 75 years had passed since he left"
"Everyone he knows back on Earth will have died. He doesn’t really have anything to go back to. But he’s got his best friend here. A job that he loves"
"Why would he leave?"
"I knew that was going to be the end of the novel before I started writing the first page"

i love project hail mary. i love movies that don't end in tragedy. i love movies that gives us hope. i love movies about friendship and soulmates and connecting with someone and them ending up being so important that you'll try to give them everything. i love movies that are fun.
pia ramos: “the one who's the best with the kids is max verstappen. he looks them in the eye, he's super attentive to everything they ask, he never gives them a dirty look.”
“you really don't know what it's like to see the face of a little boy who's burned, and max is looking at him with such kindness, it's beautiful.”

🚨| Will Buxton shares the heartwarming Max Verstappen moment his late father never forgot:
— Will Buxton recounted a touching story about Max Verstappen's kindness, highlighting a memorable gesture the Red Bull driver made towards Buxton's late father. Speaking to media, Buxton shared:
“And that's the thing with Max is even as rivals, have to take their hat off and say on his day we just can't do what Max does.”
“One of my favourite memories of him, I met him first time back in 2014 when he was just stepping out of karts into single-seaters.”
— Buxton described a specific moment at the Belgian Grand Prix, where Verstappen's unexpected kindness left a lasting impression on his father. He recalled:
“But Max wasn't to know that at all, and it was raining, and so we ran into the Red Bull motorhome to get out of the rain, and Max was there, and he said, ‘Oh, are these your parents?’”
“I said, ‘Yeah, yeah, this is my mum, my dad.’ And Max introduced himself and he turned to my dad, and he said, ‘Oh, by the way, Will taught me everything I know because we'd had that day racing together back in 2014.’”
— The gesture, though unnecessary, was deeply appreciated by Buxton's father, who cherished the moment. Buxton concluded:
“Total rubbish obviously, but a lovely thing and totally unnecessary. He didn't have to say something like that. And my dad just beamed, and he would tell everybody that until he wasn't here anymore. And Max will never know how much that meant, and it was just lovely.”

@TennisInthePar1 If if if if ...so if Novak has no injuries in 2017 or had no gluten allergy.. or was not deported, he would have had more ultimately? Also, Nadal does not fare as well on hardcourt (8/22) so even if he was not "injured", would he really get THAT many..
