I honestly can’t begin to put into words how much fun I had yesterday.

My biggest and sincerest thank you to all the amazing fans who came out to watch the game, and to those who couldn’t be there in person but still took the time to watch via the stream. Your love and support mean more to me than I could ever properly express. You truly mean the world to me.

quick reminder lang po be mindful of how we act in public events. language barrier isn’t an excuse to be rude, and we shouldn’t make fun of fans supporting the other team either, let’s show respect.

I didn't really want to say anything to not start drama, but i've see many people talking about it. The commentators today were so unprofessional and borderline rude. Their passive agressive and sarcastic, shady remarks were too much. The way they spoke about Joss - how his problem is not passing to his teammates, how they made fun of Gawin's playing, calling Ping '6 7' as if he didn't have a name. Saying it "seems like Aston is popular *even though* he's acting in series called Weirdo-101" (tf does that even mean). When Neo injured himself, they said these actors know how to put on a show. Started talking about them being actors and performers when Marc was fouled and how there was no foul. And it's just what I remember now. It was so distasteful. And their tone was so obviously mocking it literally ruined the whole experience... And "Thailand cry me a river" was out of pocket too. I get they're biased, but you can still be respectful. And don't get me started on that one guy throwing a shoe at Marc's face...

@starmagicphils :) next time, if you cannot hire people who are capable of doing their jobs professionally and impartially, then maybe you should not be hosting events of this scale in the first place.

you invited these artists to the ph to participate in a game with YOUR stars—a game that, by its very nature, requires sportsmanship, respect, & professionalism from EVERYONE involved. yet somehow, the people you put in charge managed to turn what was meant to be a fun and friendly event into something unnecessarily degrading and disrespectful.

as fans, we will not tolerate this kind of behavior being brushed off as “part of the fun.” there is a clear difference between entertaining banter and making invited guests the subject of degrading remarks—especially when those were made in a language they can’t understand. porket hindi nila naiintindihan, does that suddenly make it acceptable to say those things about them? and don’t say na joke lang siya, kasi walang nakakatawa sa mga sinasabi ng commentator niyo, and calling it a joke does not suddenly make it any less disrespectful.

these artists travelled all the way to our country to participate in an event that you yourselves invited them to. is this really how you welcome international guests? sila na nga ang dumayo to participate sa event, they’ll get treated like this pa.

if you are going to host an event that brings together artists from different countries, then at the very least, ensure that the people representing you understand sportsmanship, professionalism, respect, and basic decency. your guests deserved better.
