Let me tell you my thoughts on this case.

They are roughly the following:

Sex trafficking amongst the elite has been deliberately framed as a conspiracy theory for decades, whilst victims and survivors have been gaslit, locked up, sued, attacked and ridiculed every time they’ve tried to come forward. Epstein. Weinstein. R Kelly. Prince Andrew. Now, Diddy. Apparently they are all just conspiracy theories dreamt up by mentally ill internet trolls, gold diggers and jealous exes. Funny how many of them end up being true, isn’t it? And the real harm here, is the horrific psychological abuse and gaslighting of all those victims, whilst so many people stand by and mock them like they are crazy.

Just like all forms of abuse, it requires collusion - this case is no different. Many, many people in powerful positions who were NOT victimised by him, but did know it was happening, could have spoken out about Diddy years ago, and they chose not to. This is the same pattern everywhere. People know who the abusers are, but they prefer an easier life than sticking their neck out for others. This has to be one of the sickest parts of our human nature - allowing others to suffer for months or years (or even until their deaths) to make it a tad easier for ourselves in the short term.

Just like all forms of abuse, many people will have been targeted - and there are likely many more victims than we realise. Men and women have already come forward - but one of the most important things to bear in mind here is the stereotype of the ‘perfect victim’ and how this will play out in this case. There will be many people who have been targeted by sex trafficking and extortion who are being blackmailed because of less-than-savoury things about themselves. Does that make them less of a victim? No. Does that mean what Diddy did was right? No. Keep your eyes open for which people become the ‘real victims’ and which ones become framed as liars or attention seekers.
