Mothers like Kashmir Kaur, who carried her son’s tricolour-covered coffin with unimaginable strength… trading lullabies for the weight of ultimate sacrifice.

And mothers like Manjula, who whispered the words:
“I am both sad and proud.”

A pain no words can heal.
A courage few can truly understand.

Their grief is the price of our freedom.
Their strength is the reason countless soldiers stand fearless at the borders.

Today, we don’t just celebrate mothers…

What followed was inhuman: his eyes were gouged out, bones broken, limbs burnt with cigarettes, nails torn, private parts mutilated — before he was killed. When LIEUTENANT SAURABH KALIA left home to join his Unit 4 JAT at Kargil, he signed & gave Cheque to his mother to buy AC for her room & promised to come on his birthday on 29th June.
He kept his promise of coming in June but came wrapped in flag.
