Tein UPSA launches a fake news alert. This publication aims to debunk the propaganda and false claims spread by the NPP about H.E. John Dramani Mahama.
Ahead of the Minority's September 5, 2023 #OccupyBoG demonstration, the team invites you this program on Thursday as curtain raiser at UPSA. See you! Thank you!
I was saddened to read the attached LinkedIn post of the unpleasant experience of a UK subsidiary company.
I reckon in a circumstance like this, I would, as President, have wished to personally meet with this investor to find out more about their unfortunate experience and discuss immediate measures to keep their investment here in Ghana.
As President, it is important to also prioritize the experiences of investors.

PRESS STATEMENT
TEIN UPSA CALLS FOR ACCOUNTABILITY AND RESIGNATION OF BANK OF GHANA LEADERSHIP.
Date: 9 August 2023
For Immediate Release
Tein Upsa, the intellectual youth wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Upsa Chapter, strongly condemns the recent revelations of mismanagement and financial improprieties within the Bank of Ghana (BOG). As a vibrant and progressive organization dedicated to upholding the values of the NDC and advocating for the welfare of the Ghanaian people, Tein Upsa stands united with the Minority Caucus in demanding the immediate resignation of Dr. Ernest Addison, the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, along with all board members involved.
The alarming reports of financial mismanagement, extravagant expenses, and questionable practices within the BOG are deeply concerning. Tein Upsa, as a representative of the intellectual youth of the NDC, asserts that these revelations not only tarnish the reputation of the Bank of Ghana but also raise serious questions about its commitment to transparency and the prudent management of public funds.
The staggering expenditure of GHS357.9 million on Banking Supervision, coupled with "Other expenses" amounting to GHS287.8 million, highlights a clear lack of accountability and fiscal responsibility. Tein Upsa believes that these funds could have been better allocated to address pressing social and economic challenges facing ordinary Ghanaians.
The colossal sums of GHS131.6 million spent on Motor vehicle maintenance and running, along with the declared loss of GHS60.8 billion in 2022, are disheartening and demand immediate action. Tein Upsa emphasizes that the BOG, as a key institution responsible for the country's financial stability, must be held to the highest standards of governance and ethics.
Furthermore, Tein Upsa expresses its grave concern over the revelation that the Bank of Ghana engaged in illegal and criminal financing of the government, printing money amounting to GHS77 billion. This irresponsible and unauthorized action undermines the credibility of the institution and poses a significant threat to Ghana's economic well-being.
Tein Upsa also condemns the exorbitant remuneration of Directors of the BOG, amounting to GHS8.6 million in 2022. Such extravagant payments are unacceptable, especially at a time when many Ghanaians are facing economic challenges.
Moreover, the revelation that the BOG is allocating a substantial amount of resources to build a new Head Office at Ridge raises questions about the institution's priorities. Tein Upsa firmly believes that these resources could be better directed towards initiatives that directly benefit ordinary Ghanaians and promote sustainable development.
Tein Upsa urges all progressive-minded Ghanaians to stand together and demand accountability from our leaders. We call upon the current administration to take immediate and decisive action to address the issues within the Bank of Ghana, restore public confidence, and uphold the principles of good governance.
Tein Upsa remains committed to its mission of advocating for a just, accountable, and prosperous Ghana. We stand united with the voices calling for change and accountability within our financial institutions.

NSPs have advocated for higher allowances due to high cost of living yet their cries were unheard. The announcement of a 27% increase in their allowance by government is insensitive considering current high living standards and how this govt continues to loot the state!
We shall continue our Campus Invasion and the distribution of JM Branded exercise books which also have the achievements of ndc in it! You are cordially invited. !
