The sheer incompetence and uncooperativeness showcased by the Barcelona police department has been shocking and they have not even tried to recover the handbag and catch the culprits (9/n)

My parents have been put into a dire situation - they are currently in Columbia but will be unable to return to India as the Schengen visa that is required for South America to India connecting flights was in the stolen handbag, (continued) (7/n)

My parents later contacted the Indian embassy in Madrid in order to get new passports and help with their situation and despite the embassy trying to contact them for 3 consecutive days, the police gave no response and have put in no effort to solve the crime (6/n)

The police have been refusing to investigate the crime despite the entire robbery being captured on CCTV cameras and the police identifying the culprits of the crime. (5/n)

Immediately, my parents headed to the police station and the police were very uncooperative and it took them 3 hours to just file a report. (4/n)

By the time, my parents found out, they were already on the shuttle. The handbag that was stolen contained their passports, visas, credit cards and thousands of euros in cash, all of the cash that they were carrying was in that bag (3/n)

My parents had gone on a trip to South America and there was a 3 day interval before their flight to Colombia. After landing at Barcelona airport on 19th December, while they were in terminal 1, a group of thieves stole their handbag (2/n)
