It is anticipated that after the U.S. presidential election in November 2024, the Pi Core Team will monitor the situation and may proceed with the mainnet launch in 2025, which promises to be a great year for the Pioneer community.

New Security Feature for Pi Wallets

One of the notable changes is the Pi Core Team's reminder regarding the wallet creation and confirmation process. Now, after creating a wallet, users will have 24 hours to ensure they have selected the correct wallet for their main account. This aims to prevent issues like forgetting passwords or incorrect wallet confirmations, which occurred previously when users could confirm wallets at various steps.

Furthermore, the system has been updated with a new security feature to protect users' wallets. When you log into the App Browser, the system will verify that you are the rightful owner of the account, checking information such as KYC status, wallet status, and the ability to migrate the wallet to the mainnet.

How the New Feature Protects Your Wallet

The new security feature works as follows: If someone attempts to log into your wallet using their account, the system will detect that it is a wallet belonging to another account and immediately lock that account. The account will turn white and will be unable to perform any further actions. This helps prevent your wallet from being stolen by malicious actors.

In cases where users accidentally enter the wrong password or log in for a family member and encounter a locked account, the solution is to delete the App Browser, then download and reinstall it so that the Pi Network system can delete the stored data. After logging in again from the App Browser, the system will re-verify the information, and the account will return to its normal state.
