I could try using a real life example but you wouldn't see the relation because you prolly think all jobs matter.

They don't. Some jobs become unnecessary. Or redundant or something else.

An example of this is horseshoe makers in the 1800's made a good living. In the 1900's automobiles were created and the shoe makers weren't worth much except to like some specialized areas like horse racing.

If a job no longer pays a living wage. Then it either means the job isn't really needed. Or there is an excess of people qualified for that job.

In the first. The job goes away.

In the second. Well that's a much more complicated issue because it involves immigration. Tax structures. Education. etc etc etc.
