Here are our learnings:
🤖 Nvidia founder Jensen Huang gave an excellent keynote highlighting how AI Robotics (Physical AI) is the new wave of AI.
🧠 The latest VLA (Vision Language Action) AI models are enabling training versatile robots only using natural language and a few example demonstrations, compared to previous complex and rigid programming.
🔓 Nvidia is betting on releasing open source software for simulating, training, and deploying AI robots.
👩💻 Nvidia released an an entire suite of open source software tools and AI models to simulate and train AI robots on a single platform. We were particularly impressed by the simulators Isaac Lab and Metropolis, which leverage the Omniverse simulation platform.
🛠️ AI developments, labor shortages, and strategic nearshoring are making the development of AI robots in manufacturing a pressing need.
In LLM land, a slow model is annoying. In robotics, a slow model can be disastrous! Visible pauses at best, dangerously jerky motions at worst. But large VLAs are slow by nature. What can we do about this? An in-depth 🧵:

We’re sharing V-JEPA 2, a new world model with state-of-the-art performance in visual understanding and prediction.
V-JEPA 2 is a 1.2 billion-parameter model, trained on video, that can enable zero-shot planning in robots—allowing them to plan and execute tasks in unfamiliar environments.
