@ZGGaming Testing in production is the worst thing you can do when releasing software. No wonder people got even more upset when the patch got released in the state it did.
The fact that Blizzard pushed this patch without considering that major events like the France tournaments and China tournaments are just around the corner shows how little attention they’re paying to StarCraft II.
Pushing this patch live in this state is disrespectful to everybody still involved in SC2.
There was basically no point in the PTR - no feedback has been taken and the PTR games clearly showed the game is not in an okay state.
Revert it, test it properly & make the game better
I know my opinion might not carry much weight anymore since i'm merely a spectator, but i've never really cared much for this idea that reducing workers would bring back.. anything really to @StarCraft
The level of play and diversity outside of coin flips in LotV and all these years on is far superior compared to what we used to have in HotS and WoL.
My perception is people are correlating the "glory days" of SC2 with a change such as the worker one, but those days are long gone and wouldn't be restored by slowing down the early game.
To me it feels so ham-fisted. For a game as complex as an RTS, and especially the evolution of SC2 over so many years, extreme testing and tweaking of more nobs would be required to make something like this fit seemlessly. Then even if it did fit like a glove, would it push the game in the right direction, upending an economy structure that clearly worked.
I'm all for wild changes this far into SC2, but I don't think this path will attract people back to play or even watch. Pie-in-the-sky wild that would or may attract would have been to just add a unit or two per race and tweak those... but maybe that would be crazy wishful thinking compared to just changing some numbers.
Anyways probably nothing that hasn't already been said by others. Just thinking outloud.
Love you SC2 family <3
I understand that data is required to continue to make better changes, but I find the game to be very unfun currently, so we'll see how much I end up playing.
Very surprised the PTR patch has been pushed live so quickly, it looked like the amount of drastic changes and no real rush to modify the game that they could have waited for say... the end of Maestros that has been played entirely on the previous patch?
As of today I am today retiring from SC2 as a player as well as organising the Hungarian Pro Series community tournaments in SC2.
Shame on your Starcraft 2 dev team @BlizzardCSEU_EN and everyone involved with the patch for not listening to the whole SC2 scene.
Not actually letting the larvae change be more thoroughly tested is actually egregious. The warpgate + worker change was already something that needed more time (or not even done) but to push this most recent change through...is actually abysmal. https://t.co/akbOGtFT5C
Az utóbbi években a magyar Starcraft 2 közösség olyan minőségi szervezésű eseményeket, versenyeket valósít meg, hogy sok más nagyobb címben megirigyelnék.
Idén szintén részt veszünk a versenyeken, ahol más sikeresek is tudtuk elérni @NasserNihed-del.

@SKillous Agreed, always disliked it, unfair. If you want to give an advantage to the UB player start the BO7 from 1-0. That way UB player at least needs to get a draw to be able to win the series.
