Imagine the differences we could see in classrooms if all teachers adopted the philosophy that @katiemartinedu writes about in Evolving Education. "When learners are held to high expectations and are guided to the edge of their comfort zone they grow".@DrGeorge_MU @MUschoolofEdu
@jarc429@DrGeorge_MU@katiemartinedu The best way to get to know our students is through relationship building. They need to know you care before they can learn from you. Every student is different and deserves to be seen as an individual first.
@LBPESargent@DrGeorge_MU Love this quote. I am a firm believer that when students know you care about them as individuals they are more likely to want to engage with you and learn from you. Relationships matter.
This diagram and quote from @katiemartinedu are reminders of why culturally responsive teaching is so vitally important. I stress to my staff that all students need to believe that their teachers see unlimited possibilities in their futures. @drgeorge_MU#EvolvingEducation#MUED
@labkovski@katiemartinedu@DrGeorge_MU This quote resonated with me as well because it's a concept that I try and get my teachers to embrace. There is extreme value in pursuing a subject matter and demonstrating growth and mastery as opposed to only being focused on a letter grade.
“If you accept the call to leadership, you must be willing to be misunderstood, criticized, opposed, accused, and even rejected.”

@LindseySkerker @MUSOEleadership@DrGeorge_MU Lindsey, I think this is a vitally important project. Students with disabilities have long been left out of having a complete college experience. Your project would afford them the opportunity to realize their dreams.
