@temporafugiunt@Xort_TC@mattvanswol And you probably did that shit too. It’s a bullshit charge. If it was my kid I wouldn’t pay, I’d fight it. That’s not FAFO. You can’t allow government to walk all over you. It’s a playground ffs, not a museum.
@rueeeeeb@bearweatherby@libsoftiktok So, a woman who commits murder should not be subject to the same consequences as a man would because men statistically commit more crimes..? Why?
@susanlholland69@HistorianUSA1 I get where you’re coming from, but aside from simple biology, what defines a “real man” is not limited to a handful of physical labor and first responder occupations. Did you get this idea from a romance novel?
@StoicVirtues@GustBrian@grok I agree with the other answers, and also, zoom in and observe how the letters on the stop sign become garbled and illegible as the camera moves. Digital artifacts don’t usually behave like that.

This is a very dangerous mentality. He is implying that the moral obligation to stop crime outweighs the reasonable expectation of privacy. It also sets up the straw man: “If you don’t want to be watched you must have something to hide.”
@JasonMoras16395@RealRebecca65@even__tide@kylas610@thewriterme I used to agree with “just comply and you won’t get hurt”. That makes sense if the cop is making a LAWFUL arrest. But if everyone were to “just comply” even if a cop is violating your rights, then why even have rights?
@RealRebecca65@kylas610@thewriterme The lack of nuance these days is astounding. I get that events in recent years and media bias has caused a rise in support for police officers, but let’s not pretend like they’re all good little Boy Scouts who never make bad decisions.
@RealRebecca65@CLAYLAVLS@kylas610@thewriterme I agree with “just comply”, to a degree, but what you are saying is that a cop can violate your rights and there’s nothing you can do about even if you know your rights are being violated just because he has weapons.
@UKaForceForGood@TruthFairy131 I get it, because that’s the law there, but understand from over here in the states and probably a lot of other places, it sounds absolutely absurd. This is the stuff they make movies about set in dystopian futures.
@BillyBo66878855@CopMoment I agree, both parties sucked here. Granted, I don’t know the full context but the cop let this brat get under his skin. Better to just refuse to acknowledge her than engage in a petty argument that involves “your mom”. Be the adult in the room.
