@Olhanrewaju SILVERSTONE is Sir Lewis Hamilton's track. He knows it better than anyone.
A sprint win and a race win will take him back to 2nd in the Championship with 158 points.
years later, everyone saying lewis deserved that championship feels bittersweet.
where was all this conviction when he was dealing with the aftermath, the scrutiny, and what was clearly one of the most painful moments of his career?
thatβs when he needed people to be LOUD.
@simscircuit "It's the old Lewis that we used to know"
Yes, it's the "old Lewis" who arrived at the finale race in Abu Dhabi 2021 to race for his record 8th Championship but the Powers That Be stole it and gifted it to the runner-up. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) set in after that.
@simscircuit Shoulda Coulda Woulda ~ he didn't answer the question.
The 'I'm gonna tell it like it is' answer:
Yes, Lewis was cheated, but in the eyes of moral people who witnessed what happened that night... Lewis Hamilton did indeed win his 8th World Championship in 2021.
@GazzettaFerrari@Auto_Racer_it The FIA will be "randomly" choosing Car 44 to strip down to the chassis post race... guaranteed inspection if Sir Lewis wins.
@Vivfortyforza Once Leclerc accepts that an 8 times Grand Prix winner is no match to an 8 times World Drivers Championship winner... all of his stress and anxiety will disappear and he will settle into his place as No.2 at Ferrari.
@AJSaun15@simscircuit Friends? No. You can't be friends with someone who landed his car on your head and said:
"That's what you get when you don't leave the space."
Then gets out of his car and walks off without checking to see if you're ok.
@fiagirly Well... at least we now know the stop for softs was Sir Lewis' idea and not Ferrari's. The 3 stop didn't pay off this time, but better to happen at the Austrian GP than at the British GP. Gotta have the perfect strategy for Silverstone.
