'The Remarried Empress' Lee Seyoung: "Joo Jihoon is my savior, a presence like light"

Actors Ju Jihoon and Lee Seyoung brought warmth by praising each other while sharing the efforts they put into building a strong relationship between their characters in 'The Remarried Empress'.

On this day, Ju Jihoon and Lee Seyoung were asked about the relationship between Sovieshu and Rashta. In response, he revealed that he had put a lot of thought into his relationship with Rashta as well, stating, "When I first met Rashta, I had to fall in love, but given the circumstances, it could come across as messy or even like a beggar. On the other hand, if it were too beautiful, it would feel too fake. I discussed with Lee Seyoung how to strike that balance." He added, "We had to make the emotions leading up to the kiss scene after entering the palace make sense. We tried to match every single detail."

Ju Jihoon continued, "I agonized over the costume and the silhouette as the light came in when Rashta first appeared after washing up," and expressed his gratitude for Lee Seyoung's efforts, saying, "Seyoung worked hard to create this, spending a tremendous amount of time and thought as an actress. Thank you for doing it with such passion."

Lee Seyoung said, "Jihoon oppa is like my savior. I don't act with anyone other than Sovieshu. I see Minah unnie occasionally, and I see Heinrey once in a group scene. I wait day and night for Sovieshu to open the door and come in," adding, "Just like when he first saved me, and in the scene where he asks if my wounds are okay, a halo shines on Sovieshu."

Lee Seyoung then said, "Backlight comes into Seyoung's field of vision," and then burst into laughter in surprise at having referred to herself in the third person, saying, "Seyoung?" She added, "Jihoon oppa was like a light."
