Negotiate as what? With what structure? He self-immolated politically and retirement is only a formality. He had every opportunity to make amends but kept thinking that being Governor conferred higher powers on him above his benefactor, without understanding what lies beneath the cultural iceberg of such political powers.

Wike can negotiate with the President, but Fubara is not there yet and probably never will be. He had the audacity to wage war against his predecessor and benefactor months after becoming Governor. Even if manipulated by village witches, you would at least secure your second term first before malfunctioning.
