AI outputs are not Art. Being an artist requires talent, skill, intentionality, and practice, not just prompts.

Using AI without Artistic ability is no different from a client describing what they want to an artist, only this time, the “artist” you’re talking to is a machine.

And without the work of real human artists whose creations were often used to train these machines without their consent, your “ideas” would remain nothing more than ideas.

I think this persons caption shows how non-technical and uncreative people, see art generally especially in this part of the world.

They’re very uninterested in finding out how a lot of things are made, hence the reason we would continue to have AI generated slop.

It’s why a lot people say “I can just make this with AI” or “use Ai, why you Dey stress yourself”

A lot of people especially Nigerians can’t tell the difference between Ai and CGi, digital art and even graphic design.

And that’s why race will ALWAYS be important when it comes to discussions about gender/patriarchy. Black boys/men do not experience masculinity and manhood the same way white boys/men do. Being adultified is a very recurrent theme for Black boys

@shotbykw @olusesan__tolu asides it's environmental impact, it cheapens whatever it's attached to. there's no way Flavour or TG can't hire a creative director or team to come up with something genuine and better (even if it's the same concept).
