If you want to parent, you'll parent. Everyone who actively does it knows it's hard. A literal labor of love. If you don't want to you'll look for research that says it doesn't come naturally to you and expect the other parent to upend their lives in service of your archaic ideas

Humiliation is deeply engrained within many if not all Nigerian cultures. We humiliate kids, old people, humiliate people for holding honest jobs, humiliate employees. When everything revolves around money, we end up fanning a society devoid of dignity.

& some adults have made up their minds that you're devious & won't learn if they don't physically harm you. You barely just got here, yet to them,all your failed attempts at figuring out how things work are deliberately designed to frustrate them, making you deserving of violence
