Sometimes,christians or people who read the Bible,have a wrong feeling that Jesus is not coming anytime soon or rapture won't happen soon,so we just do what we want, hoping to repent later.This is wrong,we ought to live everyday in expectation of our lord Jesus Christ.

The story in the Bible that rattled me before I converted to Christianity from Islam:

The two thieves crucified next to Jesus. I never knew about them. Bro. They’re the whole Gospel in one scene.

Two men. Same sin. Same cross. Same dying breath. Same distance from Jesus — mere feet away on either side.

One mocks Him. One turns to Him and says, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”

And Jesus tells the second man: “Today you will be with Me in paradise.” Luke 23:43.

That man did ZERO good works. He couldn’t. His hands were nailed down. He never prayed five times. Never fasted. Never gave to the poor. Never got baptized. He had nothing to offer but a dying glance toward Jesus.

And Jesus saved him... on the spot.

In Islam, that man was doomed. No time to balance the scale. No deeds to weigh. Game over. A horrible life with a horrible punishment ahead.

I wonder if that would be me…

Yet in the Gospel, that man was in paradise the same day — because salvation was never about his works. It was about WHO he turned to in his last moment.

Two criminals. Same cross. One simple difference: which one turned to Jesus.

That’s why the Gospel is offensive.

And Jesus asks everyone: who do you say I am?

This year makes it 5 years that I Victoria Orenze have not gone through THE TOLLGATE. I was there physically, i barely made it before we all watched live online the killings with our eyes and yet, it was and has be denied by our politicians and leaders as though what we saw was not real.
My heart bled that year and I made the decision to boycott tollgate until some form of justice is seen. I also refuse to forget in a hurry what happened there, the blood 🩸 that was shed. And for every time I am in traffic that could have been avoided if I took the tollgate, I am reminded to curse evil in my nation🇳🇬, speak against evil with every opportunity I get and pray harder to my GOD to deliver us from unreasonable and wicked politicians and leaders who will never ADMIT ANY TRUTH!

So when I write or speak and say pharaohs don’t know how to let go only GOD delivers from their hands you come and tell me it’s not by prayer or talking, we need to do something.

I ask you:-
What are you doing??
What can you sacrifice?
What can you boycott??
What inconvenience are you willing to go through?

We are too selfish as citizens, for many if we say let’s boycott this or that for some time, if you look back after 3 days you will be the only one standing. They will turn it to tribal nonsense and give a funny reasons why we can’t all just stand together for truth and justice.

For 5 thousand naira, 10 thousand naira, broom and Parker, indomie, car, money, positions(they don’t deserve or are qualified for but are promised) and more, your fellow citizen and comrade will sell you out in a hurry. We can’t go anywhere as a people until we stop our selfishness!!!

That’s why when you come and write nonsense in my comments without comprehension, when you come and tell me it’s not about just speaking or praying, I laugh and I block you.
I am not a suddenly concerned citizen, I have been a concerned n active citizen and servant of GOD for years and I will not stop PRAYING, speaking and acting by denying myself of the comfort of the tollgate for 5yrs and still counting as the LORD helps me.

I cried throughout the night seeing the CAC church live stream and I won’t stop speaking!

GOD has been speaking and warning us for years, but we will not listen, we are quick to turn from GOD!
This is a peculiar situation, a pharaoh kind of situation and only GOD can deliver us out of the hand of pharaohs! And HE will deliver us!
GOD will use men, use the wind, rain, thunder, animals, the earth and everything to fight for us HIS people if we will turn to HIM! and no matter who or what HE uses, HE must take all the glory not any man!
GOD will always first send warnings of judgment ahead to give room for repentance, so HE will be just and you won’t find fault in HIM when HE judges! When we refuse the warnings, we can’t escape the judgment!!
So if you are part of the wicked in Nigeria 🇳🇬 in anyway, shape or form, watch and see your evil end!

This is why I keep shouting MENTALITY!!!!!!

When I got married, I told my husband I wanted to change my name across all social media platforms.

Me I didn’t even think too much of it. I felt that people would see the notification of name change and still know that it was me

When I told my husband, he was even the one that drew my attention to the fact that people have been used to my current name and surname

He said “people have known this name for such a long time nau, what you write is so important and there’s no need to cause confusion for people with name change. You’re my wife. I know that. I don’t need facebook name to tell me you’re my wife.”

That was when it even made sense to me

That was the end of the conversation. Didn’t even last up to five minutes.

My name has stayed the same .

When my posts go viral my husband will say “Deborah Ocheido, you don break internet again o”😂😂

The mindset of the person you want to marry MATTERS

After you check if they are a child of God, the next thing you should check is their MINDSET.

How do they interpret issues??

Are they reasonable?

Can they look at matters objectively and not with bias?

Can they accept when they are at fault and genuinely apologize??

Can they let go of issues and move on?

Has their Christianity affected their mindset? Abi they do Jesus with a touch of tribalism and “babalawoism”??

If you rub his head does he consider it disrespect?🌝

If you don’t kneel down to give him food will he eat it??😂

Does she consider her money “our money”?

If you lose your Job tomorrow do you automatically become a “useless” man???

I’m just citing examples ooo

Because life will bring plenty things that mentality and mindset is what you will use to decide.

You cannot know exactly how they will react to every single thing life will bring both your ways

But at least, you should be able to tell what their general mindset is .

If they are high strung or easy going

If they are giving or stingy

If they are forgiving or malicious

Because something that will be a 5 minutes conversation for one marriage can end another person’s own.

When I was in 200l, I started failing

Not like getting Fs, but I was gathering a lot of Cs in my result and considering the course I was studying ,this was as good as failing

What worried me the most was that I was putting in way too much effort for that kind of poor result

I went from study group, to class, back to study group rushed home and ate and then went to night class

So it didn’t make sense that I wasn’t bagging distinctions

What made it worse?
Those that I was studying with were having excellent results

One day I sat down to analyze it

And I discovered what was wrong

Somehow, my mind had tricked me to believe that because I was in the midst of brilliant medical students, studying in their midst, and all that I was going to pass

And so while we were studying and my study mates were moving stuff, I assumed the stuff was in my head too

I did not take time to be sure that as an individual, the stuff was inside my own personal head

“And Jacob was alone “

This is such a powerful revelation

Dear child of God, are you aware that for you to make anything tangible you have to know that “you’re alone”

Some may be shocked to hear this

Let me explain

Yes we have people around us

God has given us physical and spiritual family to support us

But you need to understand that if you as a person does not connect with God, you’ll fail woefully

A lot of us have crowd mentality

When we go to church, we copy people, we mimic what they are saying sometimes unknowingly copy tongues

As amazing as the support of the crowd is, you have to go and meet God one on one

When Jesus died, the first thing that happened was that the veil in the temple got torn

That idea of waiting for someone else to meet God for you ended

You are alone

That thought should not scare you

It should make you realize that Everyman will stand before God by themselves

Your husband or wife will not speak for you

Your twin won’t speak for you

Your parents can’t help you

It’s you and God!
