@DavidGillick@Cathal_Dennehy@sarahlavin_ Nearly finished it. Great book. Fascinating insight into what goes on in the mind of an elite performer. Refreshing honesty.
@McDonnellDan@paulrusty Was the Ruso-Ukraine war for me. My uncle Eddie insisted Russia would've won it outright if the Wagner group hadn't gone home early.

@Cathal_Dennehy@seaningle Some beautiful lines in there, but my favourite is relating to the self diagnosis of Parkinsons. Which in itself is a line I never thought I would conceive of.
@McDonnellDan maybe they should also buy €5 tickets to be donated to Heineken to compensate them for the loss of earnings in pints not drunk. Or buy €100 tickets to be donated to the Saudi Government to compensate them for petrol not used.
Here is yesterday's show. A walk through the Dundalk music venues of the 1980’s
With an American Dance Music soundtrack DJ Dougie takes us from "Ashley Arms", to "The Mineshaft", “The Cellars”, The Rugby Club. All tracks played on original vinyl

@Cathal_Dennehy I'm amazed that the sport of tug of war performs drug testing. Considering the expense and adminstration of testing I would have assumed there needs to be a base level of funding before it's even considered. Is it funded internally? How much money is floating around tug of war?
