How many RePosts for Cde Geza ✊🏽
This was a genuine presser, it was nothing like the lead up to the 2017 coup. This was more genuine. Cde Geza spoke on behalf of many.
You can't say any different surely!
Did you know:
With the current HIV treatment in Africa, it's so effective that within 1 to 6 months, almost all patients would have suppressed amount of HIV in their blood to undetectable levels.
Translating to:
✅ living normal healthy life.
✅no risk of transmitting HIV to the next person even through unprotected sex.
✅️reducing chances of transmitting HIV to your baby, if pregnant to less than 1%
HIV medication is free in many African countries, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Nigeria, Botswana etc. Seize the opportunity, hope restored.
@MDewah @NgarayeMuti @cdesetfree Not white sadza though. Let's go back to basics, small grains were a meal of choice for centuries till tahakira chikafu chemombe.
The juxtaposition of these two stories in @NewsDayZimbabwe today is an alarming indictment regarding the state of our Nation #Zimbabwe at the end of 2023.
How can we as a Nation accept MPs demanding luxury Toyota Land Cruiser vehicles when our national mental health referral hospital Ingutsheni has not had basic antipsychotic medication for over a year? This medication costs about US$ 300,000 per annum - the equivalent of 5 Toyota vehicles and less than the US$ 400,000 housing loan each Judge was offered this year.
We have lost our way #Zimbabwe. Our moral compass is totally skewed. And every MP, every Judge, every senior Government official who participates in this outrage is equally culpable, irrespective of which party they support or represent.
We need to change direction urgently.
Everyone who can MUST assist the CCC candidate for Mabvuku-Tafara to win back this constituency, this man really needs to win it!
If you are from this constituency, PLEASE go and vote!
ZANUPF is spreading propaganda that this seat is gone through the court judgement, it is a LIE!
I urge ALL opposition leaders in Harare to go and campaign in Mabvuku, the symbolism of winning this seat will keep our HOPE alive!
RETWEET so that everyone from this constituency sees this message!
🟡I can assure you that if the @CCCZimbabwe’s Citizens’ National Assembly resolves that we should withdraw from Parliament, we will.
To put the matter to bed, in October, Parliamentarians and Councillors were ordered to disengage from Parliament pursuant to a resolution of the CNA. This was complied with by everyone.
Missing from the discourse, however, is a critique of the consequences of such a withdrawal. Are citizens prepared to hand Zanu PF a two thirds majority on a silver plate? Are we aware that they’ll be able to wantonly amend the Constitution including removing term limits for a sitting “President”? Do we know this means ED could rule for life? What will the withdrawal mean for policy making? Are we prepared for budgetary discussions to happen under the cover of night with no representation? Will parliamentary committees be effective if politicians of the same party only are investigating each other’s work? Will the threat of the whipping system not hamper the necessary oversight function? Would we be happy to have statutory instruments considered in our absence and deemed constitutional without scrutiny? Are we happy to have legislation pass without any contribution from the citizens through committees or debate? Are we okay with reports of national institutions being swept under the carpet? Would we be comfortable with Question Time bring reduced to a box-ticking, choreographed exercise because nobody is there to ask the hard questions?
Are we happy to surrender to a one-party state? What would be the next step and how will be achieved?
Or are we prepared to fight hard under tough conditions for the citizens’ voice to be heard in spite of the odds?
I don’t know what the answer is but I know that being an MP is gruelling, time consuming and requires a lot of hard work, thinking and service. Some MPs can earn in an hour what Parly “pays” in three months. Many sacrifices are made.
May the voice and best interests of the people win as we all work towards a better Zimbabwe #ForEveryone!🇿🇼
I am not ok today. And that’s ok to not be ok. No one is ok every single day. If you are not ok today I’m with you. There’s always tomorrow 😘 Love you.
This generation has the highest chance of ending HIV, we will be unfair to the next generation if we don't use the opportunity, here is why:
1) If you are living with HIV, and you take the current medication say from today in 1-6 months your viral load will be suppressed meaning you won't transmit HIV to your partner even with unprotected sex and chances of transmitting HIV to your unborn/new baby will be close to none
2) If you are HIV negative and your partner is HIV positive, and you take your Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) pill daily you won't get infected with HIV (Remember Zimbabwe recently approved the 2 monthly PrEP injection, it can be here soon and it will of great benefit to those taking PrEP).
3) You can use condoms available everywhere including for free in public hospitals especially when having "casual sex". This will prevent you from getting HIV & other STIs like syphilis, gonorrhea etc also preventing unwanted pregnancy at the same time, that's the benefit of this preventative measure over others which just prevent HIV. If you are HIV positive the best gift you can give to humanity is using condom on the "unexpecting" partner, who may not be able to say no to unprotected sex, the teenager girls etc. remember >80% of new HIV infections in age group 10-19 are females.
4) And if a condom breaks or you are not sure of HIV status of partner you just had unprotected sex with, don't worry, there is an emergency option B, Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP), if you take this pill daily for 28 days starting within 72 hours post exposure (the earlier the better) then you are safe.
Today we have more tools to stop HIV than ever, do your part, see where you fit in
This above was motivated by some sad stats including that 67 % of people of all ages living with HIV and 88 % of children and adolescents living with HIV worldwide are in Africa, most burdened countries are in SADC.
