@girl_syndrome My grandma admitted to not wanting kids. She didn’t even want to get married. Only reason she got hitched was for money as her parents wouldn’t help her get a bank account or job (required a man’s signature). She wasn’t a great mother or grandmother unfortunately.

I was thinking about this the other day. I remember my mum having some meltdowns in the car when we moved towns as a kid because it really does take some adjustment if you don’t have a smart phone. Thank god for information centres (and the arrows that point to them)

@liannanannerss Yessss, the lack of control I had over my tardiness was excruciating. I would be up and ready for wherever we had to go, but she was always late. As soon as a I got my license I drove myself everywhere so I could arrive when I wanted to.

@Caleb_witts Adventure Time creator Pen Ward purposely directed and wrote characters to speak very humanly because his mum hated overly dramatic voices in kids cartoon. I think the nonchalant delivery style started in Adventure Time had a knock on effect into animated movies.
