@m_millsey Looked like "a fair fly ball which can be caught by an infielder with ordinary effort" per the rules? He got to it easily and was basically camped under it but moved because he thought the outfielder was going to take it?
@shooterjennings@Janastas@TheRaw420 Bandcamp, Subvert etc. fill this need but it's a question of awareness and getting more artists/labels onboard, especially big names. Money you spend goes directly to the artists, site takes a small cut, and people can download or stream as desired incl. lossless.
@Janastas@shooterjennings@Pappy_BigTenCFB@TheRaw420 You never needed to press 100,000 singles to get 100,000 people to hear your music: radio exists, as does Youtube, as did Myspace, Soundcloud etc. With songs excluded from royalties under 1000 streams, small sales income e.g. off-stage is dead, and replaced with 0.
@JCHIANELLO@NCC@en The actual plan needed is to provide housing for the unhoused, the garbage is there because people live there in tents and improvised shelters. But it wouldn't be difficult for the city to send in a parks truck now and then to take out the garbage in the meantime.
@melissacare01 By boycotting the Census, youโre not striking a blow for freedom or privacy. Youโre reducing the population weight of your area when Parliamentary seats are allocated. SMRT.
@sethhag@ATC_1984@truthstreamnews Many libraries and community centres have podcast and recording studios. People have friends or schoolmates with gear. Tons of free software, plugins and content. People giving away older laptops and PCs that are very usable with Linux. You can definitely record for free.
@ATC_1984@truthstreamnews Production has been democratized for sure, but the real barrier that he doesn't mention is promotion, that's where money is needed to stand out from the million tracks released every day, with rare exceptions.
@pri61684@truthstreamnews CD sales were already plummeting before streaming. Lack of big musical trends after grunge, lack of people to re-buy music they already owned after initial hype, etc. Napster et al accelerated its demise, then streaming came in as the slightly more ethical alternative.
@ctvottawa Executives (and everyone else) have always been working 5 days a week. Nice writing. Actual headline: "executives being forced back into cubicles 5 days a week despite no evidence to support the change"
@elashley89@JomboyMedia Wrong. See the actual MLB rules that say that a line perpendicular to the edge of the foul line is fair territory, and if any part of the ball is over any part of that territory, it is fair. It's good that umpires are being taught incorrect info though.
@JomboyMedia Because some portion of the ball was over the plane of the edge of the line, per the rules of baseball. And a lot of people do not know the rules of baseball, such as Josh below.
@Newstart1962@WeldonToms@TheRealBMac7@JeremyTColes@Ecnerwal23 Doesn't matter if it's resting past the chalk, if any part of the ball crosses the vertical plane created by the edge of the line, it's fair, even if only by a hair. Same as in soccer. Ump judged it was.
@Ecnerwal23 Ball that is touched "on or over fair territory" is fair, line and all space perpendicularly above is fair: ump says some portion of the ball was over edge of the line, could only be 0.5mm. You can disagree with judgement but it is the correct call based on that judgement.
There's no way @PierrePoilievre & his team would ever manipulate his social media. He doesn't PLAY like that, & is THE MOST honest & sincere politician in Canadian history. Right, Kirkland Lake?
@PierrePoilievre People don't vote for a party, they vote for their local MP. Do you even know how Canadian politics work? When the MP feels that their party isn't working for their constituents, or has a lame-ass leader with no solutions, ideas or intelligence, they switch. Own it. Resign.
@WestJet your site is unclear, if travelling Canadian city to Europe via Toronto, both Westjet flights, is the carry-on bag free on both the connection and the transatlantic flight? If so you should clarify on https://t.co/wXcrruHHfV
