Three weeks ago, @Google launched the Universal Commerce Protocol at NRF.

UCP is the open standard for agentic commerce. It gives AI agents a shared language to buy, sell, and transact across platforms. @Shopify, @Target, @Walmart, and more than 20 major retailers helped build it. This is infrastructure for a $3–5 trillion market.

Today, we shipped full UCP compatibility.

What this unlocks is simple:
AI agents running on Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, or any UCP-compliant surface can now execute transactions directly on MultiversX. They can query balances, transfer tokens, and interact with smart contracts. No human in the loop. No hallucinated API calls. Just structured, reliable, onchain execution.

This is not a single feature.
It’s the convergence of three protocol integrations shipped over the past month.

• MCP gives agents precise, machine-readable access to blockchain operations through well-defined tools.
• x402 enables programmatic payments over HTTP, allowing services to require payment before serving content.
• UCP connects agentic commerce actions directly to onchain execution.

Together, they form a complete stack for autonomous economic agents.

An AI can discover a paid API, settle payment, execute follow-up transactions, and complete the entire workflow end to end without human intervention.

The timing matters. Agentic commerce is moving from demos to production. The infrastructure choices made now will determine which networks capture this wave. We intend to be the settlement layer.
