@GreatDismal I saw it in the theatre when it came out and loved it at the time, never really understanding where all the hate came from. I haven’t rewatched it since, but maybe it’s time!
I try to read all of the best novel nominees for the Hugos before they are announced, but this year I only managed to get through two of them and am working on the third. Of course, the winner was none of them. At least it's an actual #scifi book.

If they actually make a new #StarTrek TNG movie, I’m hoping they call it Generations II and it co-stars William Shatner. The twist is this time it’s Picard who dies in the Nexus when a bridge falls on top of him. #scifi https://t.co/FcwjInz3ur
Just reading that not only did #StarTrek creator Gene Roddenberry’s ashes end up in the Pacific thanks to that failed lunar mission this week, but so did those of Scotty, Bones and Uhura. Oops. https://t.co/7q2udRmXUh #scifi
With news that Disney is releasing a Mandalorian move in 2025, you've got to wonder who will care about it by then. https://t.co/4CgFJxT2Kt #scifi#starwars
Excited to hear that Martha Wells’ Murderbot series is being adapted for TV, but a lot of the character's charm comes from his inner monologue. I'm not sure how the screenwriters are going to pull that off. https://t.co/I1l3HtvSvT
If you read @faroutmag, you'd think that 'Everything Everywhere All at Once' was the first #scifi movie to ever win the Best Picture Oscar. That's if you think the love story between a woman and the amphibian man in 'The Shape of Water' makes it a rom com. https://t.co/wJovS2JWUg
Are you up for watching all of Doctor Who in chronological order? Not by air date, but by the historical sequence of events that happen during the show's long history. https://t.co/KdkyNaQVga #doctorwho#scifi
I tried to read all of the Hugo-nominated novels before this year's award was handed out, but only got through three of the six as they were mostly a slog. Of course, a fourth novel took the prize. Maybe it will be an improvement. https://t.co/d40H9v72CA #scifi
Are you ready for the stage version of The Matrix? The one that tells the story through dance? What if I told you it was directed by Danny Boyle? https://t.co/4Y6Ru2zgPz #scifi
Fantasy, as a genre, has been around since the dawn of writing, but fantasy, the publishing category, is a lot more recent and the man we most likely have to blame for it is Lester del Rey. Here's why. https://t.co/TJygje9yEh #fantasy
Reading the news that Amazon’s Blade Runner 2099 series will no longer be filmed in Belfast and wondering if it’s one of those TV projects that will be axed because it costs too much. https://t.co/cEs9BSVwCh #scifi
